Dubrovnik is a beautiful city in southern Croatia known for its medieval Old Town, crystal clear water, and rich history. It’s seriously one of the prettiest cities I’ve ever been to and worth a spot on your summer list.

2. MADRID, SPAIN

Visit Madrid for a lively atmosphere, great food, and incredible historic sites. I think a weekend in Madrid is a perfect amount of time to see all the hot spots, although you could spend months in this amazing city.

3. LA FORTUNA, COSTA RICA

For waterfalls, jungle, and hot springs – visit La Fortuna, Costa Rica! La Fortuna was my favorite city I visited in Costa Rica. I loved all the greenery and of course the view of Arenal Volcano. You can see the volcano from just about anywhere in the city which is what makes La Fortuna so unique.

4. OAHU, HAWAII

If you want to live the island life, head to Oahu, Hawaii. You really can’t go wrong with visiting any island in Hawaii but I love Oahu because, in my opinion, it offers the most. There are picture-perfect beaches, amazing hikes, nightlife, surfing, great food, historic sites, and more. My main tip is to spend as little time as you can in Waikiki and avoid Waikiki Beach.

5. CAIRO, EGYPT

For the most fascinating history ever add Cairo to your travel bucket list. It was so surreal visiting this city and seeing the Pyramids of Giza in person. Egypt is definitely one of my favorite countries I have every visited.

6. ANTIGUA, GUATEMALA

Guatemala is underrated in my opinion. Antigua was seriously one of my favorite places I have EVER visited. Like in the top 5 probably. It’s the cutest little colorful town with cobblestone streets, amazing cafes, art museums, and restaurants. You also have to use a day to hike Acatenango Volcano – one of the most amazing experiences you will have in your life. I promise!

7. NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA

A dream beach town. I loveee California and there are so many amazing cities to visit, but Newport is 10/10. It’s smaller than most cities, with the cutest downtown, fun nightlife, beaches, and different things to do on the water. The shopping is great too!

8. KOTOR, MONTENEGRO

Montenegro is a tiny country in the Balkans – one of the seven countries that came from Yugoslavia. Only about 700 thousand people live in this entire country. (About 1.2 million people live in my city of Dallas – so yeah that’s not very many for an entire country). Anyways, Kotor is beautiful and it really feels like you’re stepping back in time when you visit.

10. JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING

Jackson Hole is the perfect summer or winter destination so I just had to add it to the list. It’s such a quaint town with all kinds of winter and summer activities to do nearby. This is a pricy destination so keep that in mind.

11. MEXICO CITY, MEXICO

Mexico City needs to be on everyone’s list of the best places to travel in 2024! The weather is nice most of the year, it’s a massive city with so many unique neighborhoods to explore, and the food is soo incredible. Like definitely a city with some of the best food in the world.

12. DUBLIN, IRELAND

It’s time to start planning for St. Patrick’s Day in 2024 because spending St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin was something I’ll never forget. Aside from Paddy’s day, Dublin is just a incredible city to visit.

Another destination on the list that offers so much during both the summer and winter. I visited Lake Tahoe in the winter last year and it was truly a winter wonderland. If you’re into skiing visit in the winter.

On to my favorite country, Italy! I mean hello, Florence is incredible and one of the best places to travel in 2024. Having an aperitivo with a view of the cathedral sounds like a great way to spend a summer day.

15. ROME, ITALY

One of my favorite cities in the world, Rome, is the perfect place to visit this year! The city has so many historic sites to see, unique architecture, museums, amazing restaurants, and more. I’ve been to Rome twice so far and just fallen more in love with this city each time.

Okay, I know I’m saying like all of these cities are my favorite but Chiang Mai is another incredible city. Located in northern Thailand, it’s known for its Buddhist temples, culture, mountainous landscape, and natural attractions.

The city of Paris seems to have mixed reviews depending on who you talk to. I have to say I wasn’t the biggest fan the first time I visited, but the city grew on me the second time around. There are so many amazing museums, parks, and sites to see in the city. It really is a great place to visit.

Last but certainly not least is Lucerne, Switzerland. This quaint town is known for its medieval architecture, cobblestone streets, and of course Lake Lucerne. I visited in 2019 and it was absolutely stunning. I mean honestly, you can’t go wrong with any city you visit in Switzerland, but Lucerne really was a gem.

24. Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo is one of a kind and a bucket list city that you need to visit in 2024. It’s a vibrant city with so much to experience.
