If you are looking for a vibrant and authentic stay in the city of Dallas, the Canvas Hotel Dallas is the place to be. I recently got the chance to stay here and let me tell you, this is the most unique hotel I have ever visited. With artwork on every corner and gorgeous loft-style rooms, I promise you’ll want to check this place out!
This post is all about the Canvas Dallas, an eclectic property in downtown Dallas.
MY EXPERIENCE
The Canvas hotel was kind enough to host my stay. Of course, all opinions are my own.
I had a quick overnight stay-cation here at the Canvas Dallas. As some of you know I currently live in the city of Dallas and I’m excited to share more about the city with you guys. Dallas really is a wonderful place to visit with endless things to do.
The first thing that struck my attention at the Canvas Hotel was the gorgeous loft-style rooms and art on every corner. I had never stayed in a hotel like this before! The exposed brick created so much character and charm in the room. The pops of bright colors and concrete flooring just fit the space perfectly.
I stayed at the Canvas Dallas on a Monday so there wasn’t much going on besides work of course. The room had the ideal desk set up for me to finish up the workday. After, a friend and I enjoyed cocktails and apps at the captivating rooftop lounge! No better way to start off the week in my opinion.

THE CANVAS DALLAS LOCATION
The Canvas Hotel Dallas is located in the Cedars District of downtown Dallas. It’s just minutes away from some of the best attractions in the city. Check out countless restaurants, cafes, bars, and neighborhoods around Dallas. There is also a massive convention center nearby and even a concert venue! So make sure to see what’s happening in town during your stay.
THE ATMOSPHERE
The vibe of this property is unlike any other I have visited. It’s artistic, vibrant, and classic. The hotel’s loft-style rooms are the most eye-catching and unique hotel spaces I have seen. The best part about this property is that it’s an art gallery and hotel all in one.
The Canvas features a rotating collection of artwork by local artists throughout the hotel. So make sure to take a look at all the beautiful pieces while you are here. You can even purchase the artwork, yep, most of the art is for sale!
AMENITIES
CHEF’S PALETTE
The Chef’s Palette is a full-service bar and restaurant located near the main lobby. They offer delicious urban cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.
GALLERY ROOFTOP LOUNGE
The Gallery Rooftop Lounge is the ideal place for a girl’s night out. I actually visited the rooftop with friends during a visit to Dallas before we had even moved here! The lounge is the perfect place to start a Friday night enjoying craft cocktails with an exquisite view of the city.
The lounge has a great appetizer and cocktail menu and there are plenty of tables and lounge seating to enjoy the view. I tried the shrimp ceviche and the fungi flatbread and both dishes were delicious. As for cocktails, I had the spicy mango margarita, highly recommend it!
THE LIBRARY LOUNGE
Located in the main lobby, there is an area with a pool table and books. The Library Lounge. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
ROOFTOP POOL AT THE CANVAS DALLAS
The rooftop pool is incredible! If you are here in the summer it’s a must. The views of the city are priceless. A great photo opportunity too!
