HOW TO STAY HEALTHY WHILE TRAVELING

1. VITAMINS

Okay, if you are looking for how to stay healthy while traveling, vitamins are probably the number one way. Our immune systems get so thrown off when on the go and vitamins are a great way to keep us feeling good.

There are so many vitamin options – a ton that I don’t even have a clue about. But these are the vitamins I personally take with me on the go: a women’s multi-vitamin, vitamin C, vitamin D, astaxanthin, and a probiotic. All of these vitamins help with immunity, energy, bloating, reduced inflammation, and more!

2. VITAMIN CASE

To remember to take your vitamins I suggest picking up a vitamin case. I swear if I don’t have my pills organized I will simply forget to take them.

I really like this simple pill case from Amazon

3. HYDRATION PACKETS

Flying on airplanes and traveling, in general, is so dehydrating. Which is a huge reason you might feel sick after a long trip. Staying hydrated is key to staying healthy while traveling. Any products that boost your hydration are great to bring along with you in-flight or on a trip.

I have used Liquid IV and Nuun tablets and I think both are great. I do think the Nuun tablets taste better.

4. BOOTY BAND

If you are looking to get a few quick workouts in during your trip, pick up a booty band. Booty bands are great because they are easy to pack and make for a good quick workout session in your hotel room or at the local gym.

5. BALA BANGLES

If you have the room in your bag these are perfect to bring on the go. Bala Bangles are small and great for doing a quick workout in your hotel room or going on a walk through the city. These little weights are also so cute!

6. COLLAPSIBLE WATER BOTTLE

Back to the hydration note. A reusable water bottle is essential when on a trip. A collapsable water bottle is even better. I love my Stojo water bottle because it’s not clunky and takes up relatively no space when it’s empty.

7. HAND SANITIZER

Hand sanitizer is always essential to bring wherever you go. Especially, since the whole pandemic thing. I love the scent of this one from Amazon. So many hand sanitizers smell like straight-up alcohol now and it’s horrible.

8. WET WIPES

Planes are dirty. If you’re on a long-haul flight, or really any flight, you’ll definitely want some wet wipes on hand.

9. ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

Activated charcoal is great to take for stomach and gut issues. It’s helpful for food poisoning or even a hangover. You can also take activated charcoal before eating or drinking to help prevent it.

We all know stomach bugs are a huge thing when traveling – so it’s good to come prepared.

10. BEEKEEPER’S NATURALS PROPOLIS THROAT SPRAY

Beekeeper’s Naturals is an incredible brand filled with only the best ingredients. This propolis throat spray is small, easy to throw in your purse, and the perfect all-natural immune support. The key to how to stay healthy while traveling is keeping your immune system healthy!

11. DIGESTIVE ENZYMES

Digestive enzymes are another great way to keep you feeling well during your trip. Especially if you are going to be trying some new foods your stomach may not like. Take one before and after a large meal or even before drinking alcohol.

12. ESSENTIAL OILS

I swear by essential oils. Specifically, peppermint essential oil. This seriously goes with me everywhere and is an instant headache relief. Just rub a few drops on your temples and you will be feeling so much better. This is good for hangovers too!

I also love this little wellness essential oils pack. It’s perfect for taking on the go.

A NOTE ON HOW TO STAY HEALTHY WHILE TRAVELING

If you’re like me, you have a pretty strict workout routine when at home. It might seem as though you aren’t getting a good workout when you traveling – but typically, you are.

In many cities, you will end up walking miles per day which is a great way to see the city and walking is really good for you!

If you are on a beach trip, swimming is more of a workout than you think. When I was backpacking Europe last summer I didn’t go to the gym once but I did walk miles (sometimes 13+ a day), swim in the ocean, and go on beautiful hikes. Simply exploring and doing the things you love is a great way to stay active on the road!
