Did you know that Singapore is the cocktail capital of Asia? This cosmopolitan city has several funky speakeasies and award-winning bars. In this guide, I’m sharing the best cocktail bars in Singapore.

I spent some time traveling around southeast Asia and Singapore was my last stop (and one of my favorites). I’ve curated this list of all the best places to enjoy a cocktail in the city. And of course, I’ve included the famous Singapore Sling at the Raffles Hotel. Alright, let’s get into the guide!

The 9 Best Cocktail Bars in Singapore

1. D.Bespoke

Website: D.Bespoke

Location: 2 Bukit Pasoh Rd, Singapore 089816

Price: $$$$

D.Bespoke is a Ginza-style speakeasy lounge that offers food and drink pairings. To access the lounge you’ll step through an old Chinatown shophouse as if you’re being transported to Tokyo.

They have a wide variety of the classics or they can create your drink of choice.

2. Mama Diam

Website: Mama Diam

Location: 38 Prinsep St, Singapore 188665

Price: $$$

Mama Diam is technically a bar and restaurant but they serve some of the most unique and delicious craft cocktails. It’s essentially a speakeasy hidden behind what looks like a convenience store.

Inside you’ll find a viby atmosphere with a delicious menu for both food and drinks. I had some of the most unique cocktails I’ve ever had here.

I also suggest going for dinner or appetizers because their food was incredible. Make sure to make a reservation online ahead of time.

3. ATLAS

Website: ATLAS

Location: Ground floor, 600 North Bridge Rd, Parkview Square, Singapore 188778

Price: $$$

Atlas Bar is known for its impressive gin tower and a wide variety of cocktails to choose from. Guest can also enjoy their Art-Deco-inspired atmosphere.

At Atlas Bar, you can also book an afternoon tea reservation or enjoy their dining menu. I suggest making a reservation to visit (even if just to enjoy a cocktail), especially if you plan to visit on a weekend. From 5 PM their dress code is smart casual so avoid wearing shorts if you visit in the evening.

Make sure to check the latest hours on the day you plan to visit any of these cocktail bars in Singapore

4. Long Bar – Raffles Hotel

Website: Raffles Hotel

Location: 1 Beach Rd, Singapore 189673

Price: $$$$

For the iconic Singapore Sling, head to the Raffles Hotel for the original. The Singapore Sling originated at the Long Bar in the Raffles Hotel in 1915. Now, you can visit to taste this classic cocktail or enjoy other signature drinks on their menu.

A Singapore Sling is a mix of lime juice, gin, pineapple juice, grenadine, and cherry brandy and is considered the national drink of Singapore.

5. LeVeL33

Website: LeVeL33

Location: 8 Marina Blvd, #33 – 01 Tower 1, Singapore 018981

Price: $$$

For those seeking the best view of Marina Bay Sands, head to LeVeL33. I suggest visiting at night for the most amazing views of the city.

They have a great cocktail menu, craft beers, and a curated selection of wines. LeVeL33 is a microbrewery, bar, and restaurant. It’s actually considered the world’s highest microbrewery.

Make sure to go early enough to get a good spot outside, especially if you are visiting during the weekend. If not, you should be able to get seated outside relatively soon once a table opens up. If seating is booked outside you can still enjoy the view at the viewing deck outside.

The view alone makes this one of the best cocktail bars in Singapore. Make sure to add LeVeL33 to your Singapore itinerary!

7. CÉ LA VI in Marina Bay Sands

Website: CÉ LA VI

Location: 1 Bayfront Avenue Marina Bay Sands, Hotel, Tower 3, Singapore 018971

Price: $$$$

CÉ LA VI is located on the 57th of the most iconic building in Singapore, the Marina Bay Sands. It’s a restaurant, sky bar & club lounge. Because this is one of the most popular cocktail bars in Singapore, expect a wait.

However, it is a large space and the line moves pretty quickly. You’ll purchase a drink ticket ahead of time downstairs. This is also considered a “general entry ticket” but it’s redeemable for a drink at the bar. That way your order arrives quickly once you are at the bar.

The ticket was 30 Singapore Dollars and I only got one drink. It’s pricey, like really pricey. I wouldn’t go back but I’m glad I got to experience a cocktail on top of Singapore’s most famous building.

9. Tippling Club

Website: Tipping Club

Location: 38 Tg Pagar Rd, Singapore 088461

The Tipping Club is a high-end bar and restaurant that pairs award-winning cuisine with world-class cocktails. It’s owned by Chef Ryan Clift, who also owns The Cave restaurant in Uluwatu Bali (which is the best dining experience I’ve had).

The Tipping Club has made it on the list of the World’s 50 Best Bars multiple times and is a must to add to your Singapore itinerary.

Singapore Frequently Asked Questions

When is The Best Time to Visit Singapore?

Singapore is a great place to visit year-round. The climate here is relatively consistent throughout the year – warm temperatures and high humidity.

December to February is considered their “cooler” season and is also the driest time of the year. June to August is also a great time to visit to avoid rain.

September to November is Singapore’s wet season. During this time there will be a higher chance of rain showers. Because of Singapore’s tropical climate, short rain showers can occur at any time so make sure you bring a rain jacket just in case.

Where to Stay in Singapore?

How to Get Around Singapore?

Once you are in the city center you can easily walk to many of the main highlights in the city. Singapore has a very well-developed public transportation system (and one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen).

Take the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) to get around the city. It’s quick, convenient, clean, and affordable. You can easily purchase single-trip tickets at stations or get a Singapore Tourist Pass (STP), which gives you unlimited rides for one, two, or three days.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi or a Grab but these are a bit pricier and you can’t avoid the traffic in the city.

What is The Currency in Singapore?

The currency in Singapore is the Singapore Dollar. 1 USD is equal to 1.33 Singapore Dollars. Although many places in the city accept card payments, I suggest having some cash on hand for purchases at markets or smaller vendors.

Daily Budget in Singapore

Singapore is not cheap. It’s one of the most expensive countries in Southeast Asia. I found that the city was pretty comparable to many major US cities.

On a backpacker’s budget, you’ll spend about 70 to 150 Singapore Dollars per day. If you are a luxury traveler, you will likely spend 300+ Singapore Dollars per day.

Best Things to Do in Singapore

A few highlights of the city are visiting Marina Bay Sands, seeing the Gardens by The Bay Light Show, The National Gallery Singapore, Merlion Park, The Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, exploring Chinatown, and so much more.
